'Ukulele Hula is an instrumental collection of popular Hawaiian hula melodies performed by the premier master of Hawaiian contemporary 'ukulele, Herb Ohta Jr. Known for his pristine technique, artistic arrangements and contemporary style, Herb is a multiple Na Hoku Hanohano and Hawai'i Music Award winner who is counted among Hawai'i's most celebrated 'ukulele players. His aloha for Hawaiian hula inspired Herb to dedicate a collection of music to the sacred dance. 'Ukulele Hula has a song list that includes traditional, hapa-haole and contemporary mele abound with the soothing sounds of Herb's clean contemporary style, accompanies by the gentle bass and percussion of consumate musicians Rodney Bejer and Salaam Tillman.
