The controls mount right inside the soundhole of your guitar, the battery near that at the neck joint, and the endpin/input jack fits right in where the normal endpin would be. If the diameter of the existing hole doesn't fit the collar of the jack, anyone with a fair amount of woodworking experience can bore the hole out to accommodate. If you're not adept with this kind of guitar surgery, take it to your local guitar shop and have them install it for a modest fee.
